Meet Our Green Machines

Our Green Machines

We as a company are aiming to demonstrate the importance of change, our trade suffers from generating high levels of CO2 which is increasing drastically, this, in term, is polluting and poisoning our environment, our engines are consequently causing an indirect strain on the NHS and the wellbeing of our future generations.

All vehicles operating with Maize Transport will have the option of displaying our green stripes and leaves, each leaf will demonstrate how the vehicle is powered, how many seats are available, and what type of services we, as a company, can provide.

Introducing Our Green Energy Charging Station GECS

The G.E.C.S name was originally given by Shaun Marnell to power his own vehicles and drivers, since then, he has decided to help the public by giving them access to his charging station to charge their vehicles. Car ‘N’ Cab Care Ltd was created by Shaun Marnell with the main focus of quality over quantity, with a better access policy to fit a wider variety of needs in the vehicle industry, yet still maintaining affordability and value for money.

In 2019 Car ‘N’ Cab Care ceased to sell and fund Public Hire vehicles, this was mainly due to low vehicle availability, soaring purchase costs and the poor reliability of diesel vehicles. The company subsequently shifted it’s focus to concentrate on the Private Hire industry which is why we can now see so many new EV’s on the road today.

GECS GECS GECS

Since CarNcab care originally started Shaun stopped selling and funding public hire vehicles back in 2019, as predicted this service is failing due to the lack of vehicle availability as the cost to purchase them is so high and reliability in diesel is so low. We rebranded the company back in 2019 to concentrate on the private hire industry which is why we can now see so many new EV's on the road today.

Easy Access Vehicle - EAV

The Taxioniq 5 is a trailblazer, mixing the comfort of a saloon car and the ease of access like a hackney. This is a perfect option for those able to transfer from wheelchair to car unaided, creating more inclusivity in transport. Nissan Dynamo WAV

The Nissan Dynamo WAV is a fully electric, wheelchair-accessible taxi based on the Nissan e-NV200. It's designed to be environmentally friendly, cost-effective to run, and compliant with the specific needs of taxi services, particularly in urban environments like Liverpool.

  • Wheelchair Accessibility: A key feature is a discreet access ramp integrated into the floor, allowing easy boarding for wheelchair users. It can typically accommodate a wheelchair user and up to five other passengers.
  • Exterior Modifications: The roof height is increased to provide more headroom for passengers. The turning circle is reduced to meet Transport for London's (TfL) 25-foot requirement for navigating tight city streets. While some criticize the sliding windows for giving it a "van feel," the overall shape adopts the traditional black cab silhouette.
  • Performance: The Dynamo Taxi typically uses a 40 kWh battery, offering a range of around 170 miles (WLTP City). It's compatible with 50kW CHAdeMO rapid charging. The electric motor provides instant torque and smooth, rapid acceleration.
